Two male scooter riders were injured in a crash between their vehicles in Avenida de Sidónio Pais yesterday morning, with one of them seriously injured, the police said.
According to the police, the crash happened at around 11 a.m. on the one-way avenue near Flora Garden. The riders are aged 54 and 50.
Firemen and paramedics rushed to the scene. The 50-year-old rider suffered serious head injuries, was bleeding profusely and suffered abrasions on his arms and legs, while the 54-year-old rider suffered abrasions on his right elbow, as well as a painful right ribcage, the police said.
