The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday that it has organised a delegation of Macau’s travel trade to this week’s 1st China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai
According to the statement, MGTO officials and travel trade representatives together are showcasing Macau’s East-meets-West culture, gastronomy and tourism products, facilities and services at the mega-expo, apart from highlighting the positioning of the special administrative region as a world centre of tourism and leisure.
Consisting of an exhibition and a forum, the CIIE is the world’s first import-themed exhibition at national level. President Xi Jinping held a keynote address at the expo’s opening ceremony on Monday.
