FSS pension goes up 3 pct in July: govt

Social Security Fund (FSS) President Iong Kong Io said yesterday the government planned to increase its pension for the elderly by three percent in July, as well as other subsidies and gratuities. 

Iong made the remarks after a closed-door meeting of the government appointed Social Affairs Co-ordination Standing Committee (CPCS) at the Macau Business Support Centre (MBSC) in Nape.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Iong said that with the minimum subsistence index increasing from 3,920 to 4,050 patacas per month, the government had proposed to raise the pension from 3,350 to 3,450 patacas per month.
