Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture and President of the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee (MGPOC) Alexis Tam Chon Weng told reporters yesterday evening that the 65th Macau Grand Prix had been successfully concluded and that the committee would continue to follow the guidelines of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) in order to stage an exciting and safe event for the public and competitors alike.

Tam said the committee had executed a successful event. He added that the event was supported by the FIA, and included three world-renowned World Cups, including the Formula 3 Grand Prix, the Macau GT Cup and World Touring Car Cup (WTCR).

Concerning yesterday’s freak accident during the F3 race, Tam emphasised that the FIA F3 World Cup is an event recognised by the FIA.
