A driver lost control of his vehicle and careened down a hillside and landed on its side in Estrada do Altinho de Ka Ho in Coloane last Saturday and suspected drug paraphernalia were found around the crash site, according to a Public Security Police (PSP) spokesperson yesterday at a regular police press conference.

According to the spokesperson, the police received a report at 7:44 a.m. last Saturday about the accident. When police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, they found no one at the crash site, but two transparent containers and two pieces of rolled-up aluminium foil were found near the car. The officers suspected that the items were used for taking drugs.

After collecting the evidence at the scene and by looking at CCTV footage, the PSP officers confirmed that at about 2:50 a.m. a man crashed his car there, and at about 5:30 a.m. another man was seen travelling to the scene on a motorcycle and taking the driver away. The police have identified both men, who are local residents, with the car driver aged around 30, according to the spokesman.
