Group urges broader definition of victim
Macau Domestic Violence Legislation Coalition spokeswoman Cecilia Ho Wing Yin urged the government yesterday to broaden its definition of victims of domestic violence, as according to the current version of a government-initiated bill, only those living under the same roof are protected.
The coalition comprises 14 local social work and community groups.
The legislature’s 1st Standing Committee held a closed-door meeting with the coalition at the Legislative Assembly (AL) yesterday.
