The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday that a former female real estate agent has been arrested for cheating three local residents – separately – out of a total of HK$4 million.
PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon made the announcement during a special press conference yesterday. Leng identified the suspect as a 31-year-old local surnamed Wong, who quit her job in a real estate agency in May this year. The three victims comprise a man and two women.
According to Leng, the three victims went to the Judiciary Police together on Wednesday. They told the police that between May and July this year, a female real estate agent – Wong – told each of them on separate occasions that she was representing a client owning four units on a new residential estate in Taipa who was planning to sell all of them, according to Leng.Seized evidence, including cashier’s orders and fake provisional purchase contracts for residential units, is displayed in a pressroom of the Judiciary Police (PJ) headquarters in Zape yesterday.
