The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday that a former female real estate agent has been arrested for cheating three local residents – separately – out of a total of HK$4 million.

PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon made the announcement during a special press conference yesterday. Leng identified the suspect as a 31-year-old local surnamed Wong, who quit her job in a real estate agency in May this year. The three victims comprise a man and two women.

According to Leng, the three victims went to the Judiciary Police together on Wednesday. They told the police that between May and July this year, a female real estate agent – Wong – told each of them on separate occasions that she was representing a client owning four units on a new residential estate in Taipa who was planning to sell all of them, according to Leng.
