Macau's observatory has issued rainstorm and thunderstorm warnings today.
According to a statement by the Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG), both its Red Rainstorm Warning Signal and Thunderstorm Warning Signal were still in force at 3:30 p.m.
Macau has been affected by torrential rain and flooding in low-lying areas since this early morning.
Due to the severe weather conditions, kindergarten, primary school and special education classes have been suspended for the whole day. Secondary school classes were only suspended for the morning.
No injuries or major damage had been reported by 3:30 p.m.
