Lawmakers urge govt to review rainstorm drill

Directly-elected lawmakers Melinda Chan Mei Yi and Kwan Tsui Hang separately urged the government yesterday to review its annual rainstorm drill for local schools.

The two lawmakers made the suggestion after a closed-door meeting of the legislature’s 1st Standing Committee on a domestic violence bill. 

On Monday morning, government-broadcaster TDM mistakenly announced on its Chinese language TV channel a rainstorm warning.
