A traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner in his twenties was arrested on Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a female patient while she was receiving treatment, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Cheong identified the suspect as a local surnamed Kou.
The Health Bureau (SSM) first disclosed in a statement on Friday that a woman had recently told the bureau that a TCM practitioner surnamed Kou from the Chong An Medical Centre in Chong Fok Commercial Centre in Zape sexually assaulted her while receiving treatment, adding that the victim had also reported the case to the police. The commercial centre is situated opposite the Golden Lotus Square (Praça de Lotus Dourado).
