Transport Bureau (DSAT) Director Kelvin Lam Hin San said yesterday that the flood-hit underground bus terminal at the Barrier Gate border checkpoint will resume operation on December 15.
Lam made the remarks while speaking to reporters after a regular meeting of the government-appointed Traffic Consultative Council at his bureau.
The poorly ventilated underground terminal was severely damaged by floodwaters during the onslaught of Super Typhoon Hato on August 23 last year. Since then, the terminal has been out of operation, much to the chagrin of residents and visitors alike.
