The local salesman was caught by the victim peeping over the top of her toilet cubicle, in a public restroom she was using at a hotel in the city centre, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lam Keong said yesterday at a regular press conference.
Lam identified the suspect as a 36-year-old resident surnamed Pang. The victim is a local 20-year-old woman who said she saw Pang’s reflection on the floor and was alarmed since she suspected that he was recording her.
The incident took place on Saturday when the woman was using one of the hotel’s public toilets at night. She was shocked to see a man peeping over the top of the cubicle, so she screamed and the man fled but on the way out of the restroom, Pang bumped into a cleaner.
