Three passengers were slightly injured in a collision between two public buses in the newly reopened underground bus terminal at the Barrier Gate checkpoint on Saturday – the first day of the restart of the public bus services there, according to the Fire Services Bureau (CB).
Firefighters suspected that the accident was due to oil on the ground left by a bus not involved in the collision.
According to the Fire Services Bureau (CB), the accident occurred at around 1 p.m., when a bus leaving a bus stop in the terminal crashed into the back of another bus that was parked there. The 50-year-old male driver of the bus that rear-ended the one in front was not injured and passed a breathalyser test. No-one was on the bus in front at the time of the collision.
