A security guard had a heart attack while at work in a car park at a wholesale market in Avenida do Parque Industrial in Ilha Verde district yesterday afternoon, according to a Judiciary Police (PJ) statement yesterday.
The statement said that the Judiciary Police received a report at 3:03 p.m. yesterday from the public Conde S. Januário Hospital Centre that a man had died of a heart attack before the body’s arrival at the hospital.
At 1:20 p.m. yesterday, the 65-year-old local resident surnamed Hoi, and a colleague had lunch together in the car park. After the meal, Hoi leant against a wall to rest. The colleague thought that Hoi was just taking a nap but when he tried to wake him later, Hoi did not react and so his colleague immediately called his supervisor for help. An ambulance was also called.
