The wife of a mainland man took HK$50,000 from her husband’s younger brother on Sunday morning in a residential flat near the Barrier Gate, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Lai Man Vai said yesterday at a regular press conference.
Lai said that the victim, his brother and his 30-year-old sister-in-law, surnamed Choi, came to Macau to gamble. The three went to a casino in Cotai to play the tables.
They rented a flat near the Barrier Gate checkpoint and went there after gambling. The flat was rented in the name of the elder brother. When they arrived at the flat after gambling, they went to their rooms and slept, according to Lai.
