A ceiling in New Yaohan Department Store collapsed on Sunday and injured two shoppers, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Choi Iok Kin said at a regular press conference yesterday.
Choi identified the two injured as a mother in her 40s who sustained head and back injuries and her 12-year-old daughter who sustained a bruise to her waist. Both were taken to the private Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment, Choi said.
The spokesman did not say whether the two victims are locals or visitors.
