‘Extra.Ordinary’ Fringe Festival gets underway

The 18th Macau City Fringe Festival has kicked off with more than 20 programs and activities for local artists and residents to find urban arts in their daily lives.

The event, which began with an opening ceremony at the Old Courthouse in Nam Van, is organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC). Themed “Extra.Ordinary,” it aims to turn arts into a daily routine through different means of expression, according to the organiser.

On Friday night, after the opening ceremony, a combination of circus and Indian dance by British and Indian artists was staged. The festival also includes outdoor orchestra, street art, and other performances.
