The Commissioner of the Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, Shen Beili, says she hopes that the local media will tell the world about Macau’s successful implementation of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle.

Shen, who heads the ministry’s local office, made the remarks in a speech on Friday during a seminar attended by senior representatives of Macau’s media companies. About 60 representatives from the city’s Chinese-, Portuguese- and English-language media companies and the central government’s media organisations posted to Macau attended the seminar at the building of the commission in Zape.

The two deputy commissioners, Wang Dong and Yuan Hengge, and Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) Director Victor Chan Chi Ping also attended the seminar, which also marked the upcoming Chinese New Year. This year, the first day of the Chinese New Year of the Pig falls on February 5.
