A man from Malaysia selling drugs to two locals near a hotel in Nape was nabbed red-handed by the police on Monday night, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said at a regular press conference yesterday.
Choi said that the police received a tip-off and put the suspect, surnamed Khoo, who is in his 20s and was staying in a hotel in Nape, under surveillance and saw him hook up with two local men, a 31-year-old surnamed Teng and a 32-year-old surnamed Leong, who bought drugs from him. The police had followed Khoo to the rendezvous and busted him while he was in the middle of selling Teng and Leong the drugs.
After searching the trio, the police seized 3.79 grammes of cocaine from Teng and 2.33 grammes of cocaine from Khoo and also found 6.04 grammes of cocaine in the hotel guestroom where Khoo was staying.
