The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a local man on Tuesday for attacking his wife earlier this month, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Long said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Leng identified the suspect as a 33-year-old surnamed Wong who told the police that he is unemployed.
The couple got married in March 2012 and often quarrelled over their relationship, according to Leng. The victim, who is in her twenties and whose surname was not disclosed by the police, works in the service sector. The couple have two children.
