The Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday that in anticipation of a strong influx of visitors during the Easter holiday, they will, if needed, implement crowd control measures in the city centre and around the Barrier Gate.
The city’s three-day Easter Holiday starts on Friday. Monday is not a public holiday but government offices and banks will be closed. Easter Monday is a public holiday in Hong Kong.
The statement said that the police will deploy more officers at the city’s checkpoints to ensure a smooth flow at immigration counters.
