Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On has wished all Macau people a happy, healthy and prosperous Year of the Pig, calling for cooperation between government and the citizenry to ensure Macau’s continued stability in globally volatile times.
Chui’s Chinese New Year’s message was broadcast on Chinese New Year’s Eve last Monday.
Chui urged all Macau people to work alongside the government in maintaining the special administrative region’s stability amid an uncertain and sometimes volatile economic situation globally.
Chui said his government would do its utmost to tackle whatever challenges the Year of the Pig might bring. He also pledged that his government would seek to pursue a “steadier and more sustainable path” for Macau.
