A local man was arrested on Monday for falsely reporting a crime claiming that he was being attacked by several people and that someone was brandishing a gun in a restaurant in Coloane, Public Police Security Force (PSP) spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The suspect made the false crime report after repeatedly disturbing other patrons in the restaurant by trying to chat to them but none of them bothered to respond, according to Cheong.
Cheong identified the suspect as a 30-year-old surnamed Lao who told the police that he’s a businessman.
