Macau is ready to further integrate into the national development plan and assume its own responsibilities, Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On said last night.
Chui’s remarks were released by his office in a statement shortly after the unveiling of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), which was released by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the State Council.
The plan, which is of great importance and provides great opportunities for the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR), explains Macau’s role in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and its important position in the national development strategy, Chui noted.
