Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario said yesterday that the third-phase construction of the Taipa Ferry Terminal has get off the ground, which will have a passage connected to the restricted area of the adjacent airport.
Rosario made the remarks while speaking to reporters at Plaza Restaurant in Zape on the sidelines of a reception hosted by the Macau Women’s General Association (commonly known as Fu Luen) to celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day on March 8.
The airport-sized Taipa Ferry Terminal in Pac On came into operation on June 1, 2017. The terminal has a total of 16 berths for ferries with a carrying capacity of 400 passengers and three “multi-purpose” berths for vessels with a carrying capacity of 1,200 passengers, as well as a helipad.
