A 37-year-old non-resident worker was hit by an excavator on a construction site in Cotai yesterday, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement.
The statement did not identify the construction site where the accident happened.
The male worker was reportedly hit when he was walking behind the excavator which was moving backwards. His workmates called the emergency services which rushed the victim to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for emergency treatment.
No information on his condition was provided by the authorities.
