A Hong Kong man was arrested on Friday for attempting to exchange a bogus HK$100,000 gaming chip for cash in a casino in Cotai earlier that day, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam announced during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Ho, the suspect surnamed Lao is a 71-year-old unemployed man from Hong Kong.
The suspect came to Macau at around 5:15 p.m. on Friday and went to the casino’s cage, trying to exchange a HK$100,000 casino chip for cash at 6:45 p.m.
