Measles cases rise to 23, 13 from Kiang Wu ‘cluster’

Three more measles cases were recorded yesterday, and among them two of the patients had been to Kiang Wu Hospital before they came down with the disease, according to a statement from Health Bureau (SSM).

As of yesterday, there were a total of 23 measles patients this year, among them eight medical staff and five patients from Kiang Wu Hospital, the statement said.

According to the statement, the three new patients are a 47-year-old woman who works as a croupier at Casino Le Royal Arc, a 24-year-old woman who teaches at the “Spirit Kids” English learning centre, and a 14-year-old girl who studies at Xin Hua School.
