The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested nine people in an illegal inn in Nam Van district on Monday, including a woman who allegedly ran the illegal accommodation business, and an overstayer from the mainland, Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lai In Hong said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Lai, the police received a tip-off recently that a residential flat was being run as an illegal inn. On Monday at around 1 p.m., police officers went to the flat to investigate.

The police saw a man acting suspiciously as he left the flat. When the man saw the policemen, he shouted “police” and tried to run away, according to Lai.
