The Fire Services Bureau (CB) announced yesterday that it recorded 211 fires in the first quarter of this year, down by 18.53 percent year-on-year.

However, there was a 6.38 percent increase in ambulance service cases, mainly due to non-emergency calls by the elderly.

Senior fireman Lao Hou Wai announced the first quarter’s fire statistics during a press conference at the CB headquarters in Nam Van.
