The manager of a clothes shop in a shopping mall in Cotai was arrested on Saturday for forcing a female staff member to perform oral sex on him over 10 times, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Chan Wun Man said during a regular conference yesterday.

According to Chan, the victim is 26-year-old local who works as a sales assistant in the shop. Her surname was not released. The 30-year-old suspect is a local surnamed Sun.

The abuse started in December last year, about a week after the victim had started to work in the shop, the name of which was not revealed by Chan.

One night, when the shop was about to close, Sun pulled the victim into a fitting room, verbally threatened her and finally resorted to violence to force her to perform oral sex on him. Moreover, when the victim was performing oral sex on Sun, he took a video of the abuse with his mobile phone, according to Chan.

After the first incident, Sun used the oral sex video to blackmail the victim into performing more oral sex, and according to Chan, Sun forced her over 10 times to perform oral sex on him until late March in the fitting room or in the disabled toilet in the mall.

The victim finally decided to resign from her job on Good Friday, but Sun rejected the request and again used the video to blackmail her into performing oral sex on him once more, according to Chan.

According to Chan, since the victim could not bear Sun’s oral sex blackmail anymore, she ran into the shop’s staff bathroom where she called the police for help.

The police arrived at the scene and took both to a police station for questioning.

Sun admitted to committing the crime, according to Chan. The police transferred Sun to the Public Prosecution Office (MP) on Saturday. Sun faces a rape charge, according to Chan.

According to Article 157 of the Macau Penal Code, rapists face a prison term of between three and 12 years.
