Macau residents’ unemployment rate fell 0.1 percentage point quarter-on-quarter to 2.3 percent in the first quarter, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) has announced.
According to a DSEC statement earlier this week, Macau’s general unemployment rate, which comprises local residents and non-resident workers (informally known as blue card holders), remained unchanged at 1.7 percent from the previous quarter.
Total employment decreased by 900 people quarter-on-quarter.
