Chefs are getting artistic at Vida Rica Bar because instead of serving afternoon tea on a typical tiered stand, they will be creating a masterpiece with ingredients and condiments right on the table directly in front of guests.

“The Painter” afternoon tea set features savoury bites such as a refreshing salmon with pomelo praline, foie gras hazelnut lolly and king crab with green apple roll, and sweet nibbles such as caramel tart, strawberry lollipop, cherry and pistachio mousse, a chocolate sphere with a twist of surprise, and scones with clotted cream and jam, all aesthetically assembled on the table.

The menu comes with a list of special drinks, which includes milkshakes with four flavours to choose from – egg tart, tiramisu, Nian Gao (Chinese glutinous rice cake) and ‘City of Dragon’, a selection of fine tea, as well as signature drinks such as Middle Eastern Latte, Black Tie and Chocolate Pear.

The menu is priced at 498 patacas for two, and includes two drinks. It is available at weekends from tomorrow from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the bar at Mandarin Oriental.
