The police arrested an overstayer for exposing himself to a sales assistant in a fashion jewellery shop in Taipa on Sunday, coinciding with Mother’s Day and Buddha’s Birthday, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Choi Iok Kin announced in a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Choi, the 30-year-old suspect surnamed Wang is from the mainland. The police confirmed that his entry permit had already expired at the time of his arrest. The victim is over 20 years old, Choi said.

The incident happened at around 4 p.m. in Rua do Regedor on Sunday. Wang went to the shop where he initially browsed around. Then he suddenly went behind the victim and touched her head. He asked for her name before he pulled down his jeans to expose himself to the victim, according to Choi.
