The University of Macau (UM) said in a statement yesterday that Hong Kong-based economist Lawrence Lau Juen-yee will deliver a keynote speech titled “The China-US Trade War: Challenges and Opportunities for China, the Greater Bay Area and Macau” next Thursday on the public university’s Hengqin campus.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) consists of nine cities in Guangdong and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
According to the statement, Lau is a well-known economist and an expert on global and Chinese economic development.
