The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a local man for beating his four-year-old son with a coat hanger last week after the boy refused to take his medicine, a PJ spokesman said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The boy’s mother was also found to have previously beaten him, according to the spokesperson.
The spokesperson identified the male suspect as a 33-year-old air-conditioning technician surnamed Choi and his wife as a 30-year-old saleswoman surnamed Tou. The couple have two sons, the four-year-old boy being the youngest. The family of four live on the mainland. While the parents work in the Macau, their two sons are enrolled in Macau education establishments. The family are understood to return to their flat on the mainland every evening
