The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a local man last Thursday for forcibly hugging and kissing a woman in the women’s toilet of a restaurant in Areia Preta on the previous day, PSP spokesman Lam Keong said during a regular press conference on Friday.
Lam identified the suspect as a 26-year-old surnamed Hoi who told the police that he works in a shop.
When the 20-year-old woman was walking in Rua Central da Areia Preta at around 9 p.m. last Wednesday, a man reeking of alcohol – Hoi – approached her and talked to her, saying that he would give her 10,000 patacas to “accompany” him to a shop where he works, Lam said.
