Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On chaired a high-level meeting yesterday about the spirit of a letter sent by President Xi Jinping to local pupils last week.
According to a statement by the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS), the meeting at Government Headquarters focused on the local education sector “learning from and applying the spirit” of Xi’s written reply to a letter sent by pupils from the Hou Kong Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School in Taipa. The school received Xi’s letter last Friday, on the eve of International Children’s Day.
Central People’s Government Liaison Office Director Fu Ziying and Vice Director Xue Xiaofeng as well as Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chong Veng, Chui’s chief-of-cabinet O Lam and other government officials and education sector representatives attended the meeting.
