A slab of stone from the door frame of an entrance of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) headquarters in the city centre fell off and slightly injured a woman walking past on the pavement outside yesterday afternoon, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said.
The BNU headquarters main entrance is in Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro and a side entrance in Avenida da Praia Grande.
According to the bureau, the incident happened outside the entrance in Avenida da Praia Grande at 3:30 p.m., where part of the pavement is covered by an arcade, when a stone slab from the door frame around the entrance fell off and hit the woman on the head.
