Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Mok Ian Ian revealed yesterday that her bureau has fined a design staff member in her bureau for the plagiarism discovered in April when he or she used reference materials lifted from the Internet when designing the poster of the Cantonese opera “The Soul of Macau”.

Mok added her bureau has paid 20,000 patacas to purchase the ownership rights to the copyrighted image from the original designer.

Mok made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event at a school run by the Macau Women’s General Association (Fu Luen) in Areia Preta district.
