The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said yesterday that it has told the company which owns the Ilha Verde Hill plot to carry out its statutory duty to repair the hill and a former convent there.
The bureau also said that if the company fails to do so, the bureau would carry out the repairs itself and order the owner to bear the cost.
The bureau convened a press conference to brief the media about its measures to ensure the protection of the cultural heritage-listed Ilha Verde Hill which includes a former Catholic convent and abandoned Portuguese army barracks.
