A dolphin was found dead on Hac Sa Beach yesterday.

The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) said in a statement that one of its staff members found the cadaver yesterday morning during patrol on beach.

The Marine and Water Bureau informed the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) about the dead cetacean.

According to Wikipedia, Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins from the Pearl River Delta are often pink and customarily referred to as Chinese white dolphins.

The handout photo released by the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) shows officials of the bureau working near the dead dolphin at Hac Sa Beach yesterday morning.
