HK$1.65 million in cash was stolen by a woman in a jewellery boutique in Rua de Cantão in Zape on Saturday, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Ho, the boutique’s CCTV camera footage showed that the culprit is a female. She was still at large during the time of press conference yesterday afternoon.

According to Ho, the male manager was alone in the boutique in the early hours of Saturday. He told the police that he went to the toilet at around 3:30 a.m. in a hotel lobby near the boutique. He also told the police that he had locked the wooden door of the boutique before he went to the toilet.
