City of Dreams Macau opened TheArsenale yesterday, where people can buy cars, boats, and even private jets “straight out of their wildest dreams”, a statement from the company said.

The statement said that TheArsenale, which calls itself “The most insane garage in the world”, provides brands with a way to promote and sell their products, and offers customers the best selection of high-end products.

TheArsenale has on display a total of 40 curios, including a bulletproof vehicle which hails from the world famous Rezvani Motors, an F1 racing car which is made of carbon fibre weighing only 733 kg in which, according to the statement, the racing driver can move through space with no effort and was designed to compete during the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship.

In addition, there is an electric pedal boat with an engine just slightly larger than a human fist, and a private jet with a US$1.3 million price tag, said to be the most expensive vehicle on display.

The CEO and founder of TheArsenale, Patrice Meignan, told reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony yesterday that as Macau is as one of the most important cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), he could expand into the mainland market through the showroom.

In addition, Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, the president and chief executive of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, which owns City of Dreams, said yesterday that he was satisfied with the company’s business performance in the second quarter.

Ho added that although the global economy is under pressure, he was still optimistic about Melco’s annual results, adding that the hotels under Melco would go into refurbishment projects over the next two years, such as the second-phase development of Studio City which he hopes would be able to start later this year.
