Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, which has been performed in Macau before, will be the opening act for the 33rd Macau International Music Festival (MIMF) from October 4 to 30, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced yesterday.

During a press conference held at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, IC President Mok Ian Ian said that the budget for this year’s festival organised by her bureau is 31 million patacas, 3 percent more than that of last year.

Mok said that the increase in budget was due to the fact that there is one more show in this year’s programme, and that there will be promotions for the festival in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA).
