The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a Hong Kong woman on Friday who had been hired by a gang to sell cocaine in Macau, a PJ spokesperson said at a special press conference on Saturday.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect is a 57-year-old surnamed Chiu. She told the police that she is unemployed.
The spokesperson said that when the suspect was entering Macau via the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal checkpoint on Friday at 4 a.m. she was stopped by the Public Security Police (PSP) as she was being investigated for her alleged involvement in a previous case. The police took her to the Immigration Department’s detention centre for questioning.
