The non-establishment New Macau Association (NMA) announced yesterday that it will hold an online ballot entitled “Vote on Universal Suffrage for Chief Executive Election” from this Sunday to August 25, with the aim of providing a platform for the public to express their views on the matter.
The association held a press conference yesterday afternoon on its premises in Rua do Tarrafeiro in the Inner Harbour area about the online vote.
Lawmaker-cum-activist Sulu Sou Ka Hou, a vice-president of the association, told reporters during the conference that his association is urging Macau residents to participate in the vote, adding that they can vote on the website https://2019.newmacau.org by providing their local mobile phone number, and only one vote is allowed from each number.
