Local gym Macao Boxing House will hold the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) Professional Boxing Championship” on Saturday. This will be the first time that an all professional boxing event organised and hosted by a local gym has been staged in the city.
There will be six bouts with fighters from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau and Yunnan at the Macao Boxing House Gym in Fat Lei Industrial Building in Areia Preta with local fighters Cheong Lap Cheong, who is aiming for his seventh win out of seven as a professional, Michael Olfindo, who is looking for his third win in four professional fights, and debutant Andre (Jay) Angelo Adangla Fernandez.
The Macau Post Daily caught up with the three pugilists and their trainer Cheong Wai (no relation to Cheong Lap Cheong) after their training session yesterday.
