The Public Security Police (PSP) announced in a statement yesterday that they recorded some 341,000 visitor arrivals during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period from Friday to Sunday, a 12.8 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.

The previous three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period was between September 22 and 24, the statement noted.

The statement said that visitor arrivals at the Barrier Gate checkpoint, the Lotus Flower Bridge checkpoint in Cotai and the airport each saw a “notable” increase during the three-day period – 18.7 percent, 17.6 percent and 22.9 percent respectively. However, visitor arrivals at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and the Taipa Ferry Terminal decreased 48.2 percent and 37.5 percent compared to the corresponding period last year, according to the statement.
