A 71-year-old local woman died on Friday after being hit by a casino staff shuttle bus on a zebra crossing in Ilha Verde, the Public Security Police (PSP) said on Friday.
The police said that the driver, who passed a breathalyser test, failed to give way to the woman on the zebra crossing.
The vehicle is a TCM bus used as a casino staff shuttle bus driven by a TCM public bus driver. The city’s two public bus operators – Transmac and TCM – use some of their buses to run casino staff shuttle bus services.
